WW2 British made Canadian shoulder titles
I recently picked up these Canadian shoulder titles in the UK. They were in a mixed lot of WW2 British made badges. Are these are fairly common or rare?
There's some others in a batch of badges I was considering making a bid on. I only collect Airborne insignia so will only keep the Airborne ones if I make the purchase. I don't want to bid too much if I won't be able to trade the Canadian ones on. Any thoughts? |

These are fairly common examples. I can't see details but the reverse appears to be Glue-backs. If so, there are British made and worth a bit more

Thanks Raymond, yes they are glue backs and were made in England.

To add to Ray's comments, the starch backs were not an authorized issue. They were available at the end of the war and some units acquired an inventory of this pattern. They are not uncommon, but not common either.
Were the other examples the same units?

There are some decent ones in the lot. Sher Fus, NNSH, A&SH, 8th NB Huss are not easily found. Someone did find a stash of the Cape Breton H a couple of years ago and they show up frequently.

Thanks for the info Bill, hopefully I can complete a deal early next week and then I'll post on the forum all the Canadian badges. I'll look to offer them up to forum members and then ebay afterwards. Thanks, Rich.
