At the last count, I believe there were 6 of these rubbish items on the site, some of them had multiple bidders.

Like Keith said there’s lots of threads. Search ‘PWPB’ or ‘public works’ and you should find most. FoT is the creator of several that are very good well worth a read including one on a 1916 all GM issue Middlesex badge from the same die as the PWPB.
In a nutshell the feathers on the genuine ones are quite distinctive and almost of ribbed appearance. The scroll ends are more horizontal than on the fakes. Genuine badges can be found with overload and tagged Middlesex scrolls. Here are mine. |
