It is like a Seaforth plaid brooch, but it should be silver or silver plated and have battle honors.

This is a Plaid Brooch. This pattern (without Battle Honours) was worn by the 72nd Regiment Seaforth Highlanders of Canada when they were stood up in 1912, and likely to some Imperial units of The Seaforth Highlanders ( TA / Admin etc). Issued in silver and white metal, continues to be worn to this date. The construction indicates it is likely an early one.
