Recently looking at engineer blue cloth H P collection in album section Got me thinking about some photos of a massive collection of blue cloth plates ,not sure if it was R.E or R.A [ passage of time ] I was shown by the owner .he was a frequent purchaser in Wallis and Wallis in the old days He and his wife also used to have a stall at various arms fair He was Albert Clare and she was E Clare from Plumstesd London Wondering if other members ever saw this collection or knew what happened to it

David,
Not heard of them but I do remember Sir Hannibal Sicluna ( might not have spelt that right) who used advertise in the MHS Bulletin for officers helmet plates he wanted. He must have had an incredible collection and I wonder what happened to it. Peter
