Default Yorkshire Volunteer's info please

Good Evening,
Can anyone tell me if any of the Yorkshire volunteer regiments wore a white Rose collar badge?

Hi Billy,

a quick flick through Colin Churchill`s book on collar badges identifies the following units wearing the White Rose as a collar;
1st Royal Lancashire Militia (Duke of Lancaster`s Own) 116
2nd Royal Lancashire Militia (Duke of Lancaster`s Own) 240 Officers silver with red felt backing
4th West York Militia 468
East York Militia 491 OR wm, Officers silver
2nd Lancashire RVC 865 OR 869 Officer
1st West York Rifles Militia 1408 OR & Officers in silver

Thanks Dave. I have that book but I haven't a clue where it is. Did you find any information in there about the white metal Rose of 106 RHA (Lancs Hussars) How would you tell the different units collars apart? or are they generic?

Billy, Colin`s book only deals with infantry so Yeomanry not covered. There are differences in the size and style but not something i could describe. Have you a collar badge you are wanting to research? Post a scan and i will look it up.

That looks like the Coldstream Guards shoulder strap rose. Also worn by East Lancs Regt,Mercian & Lancastrian Yeomanry.
