Default Lushai Brigade: A typical example?

Good afternoon all

Sorting through my collection I have uncovered a version of the cloth badge for the Lushai Brigade. Normally I believe that original ones were printed onto thin cloth. This one is embroidered onto a thickly padded base so that the badge is actually a few millimetres deep. It is in excellent condition without wear.

Does anyone know if this is a genuine variation of the unit badge or not?

Best regards
Bill

Hello Bill - I am not a fan of the black back to be honest - but others may have different ideas.
All the best
Mike

Thanks Mike B. and Arrestingu. A previous thread from 2018 suggested in an earlier post showed a version that was indeed a bit more padded like mine that was believed to be genuine but conclusive proof is of course hard to find.
