17/21 Lancers Battledress
This appears to be totally genuine, however, I can find no record showing 17/21 in 7th Armoured Brigade. Is it possible for an individual to be attached, a driver for an officer at brigade HQ perhaps?

It's a late blouse with the faced collar......I would not have thought that the wearer of that late a blouse would have been sporting those old titles.....

The titles appear to be the slip on type which can be put on the bd by anyone any time. Also officially the slip ons were for kd not bd.

Hi
For all the reasons stated by Griff, Brian & Jerry, and its general appearance I would suggest this is a relatively recent marriage of insignia and uniform (BD), in short its been cobbled together for the collectors market. Just my opinion, sorry if it disappoints you Cheers Rob

Just wondering if the slip on titles are genuine or not as they are rather scarce to this Regiment, or is someone now making quality copies of these now.

Aside from the arm badge, all the other parts are genuine and appear to have been together for some time.

I have to confess I thought that the black on khaki slip ons were to be worn on the BD but were quickly?replaced by the later curved titles worn at the top of the sleeve. I don't have Brian Davis' book to hand so I can't recall the introduction date.
