Orange River Colony Prisons

There is not much written about the Orange River Colony Prisons, but I guess that they could only have been around from the end of the Boer War until amalgamation into the Union of SA Prisons Service. The ORC wasn't very populous and the Free Staters aren't known to be big on criminality, so I guess that the Prisons Service was quite small.
Does anybody know anything about the ORC Prison Service ?
