I think this is another repro but seems to be much better struck than most restrikes you see.This one has a dull shiney nickel type finish.I find it strange that anyone would go to the trouble to make a fake/copy that does not have a similar finish to the originals.Any comments ??.

This badge has been the source of considerable comment over the years. It appears that it may have been a badge intended for the unit, but the war ended before it was issued. The metal colour was changed to be more like the Brit para battalions. The Canadian badges were made in plastic first, then brass. Apparently that was simpley an economy measure.
