Royal Pioneer Corps Collar Badges?
I have in my collection a 1949 pattern battle dress blouse badged to the RPC. Examining the brass collar badges on it I discovered that they had a slider and not lugs.
The most likely reason is that they are beret badges used as collar dogs so can anyone supply me with the height of a KC RPC beret badge for comparison please? Jon |

Never measured them, but this may help.

The post War cap badge is the same size as the pre- and post War collar badges. Apparently the Quartermaster ran out of collar badges and supplied two cap badges instead?

I didn't think it was the norm for RPC to wear collar badges with BDs.
it may be that someone decided to embellish their uniform but didn't have access to issued collar dogs. |

The KC slidered beret badge is 37mm height if you allow total from base of lower scrolls (to each side) to central tip of crown. Closer to 35mm if just down the centre from tip of crown to middle of central scroll. I hope this makes sense.
