London Scottish glengarry
I've read that the London Scottish wore a plain thistle as their pre-1908 glengarry badge. Is the pictured example one of these? It measures 41mm wide x 48mm high. Thanks for any information.

Delving more deeply into Kipling and King, I now think it more likely that this is K&K 1131, the field-cap badge of the Royal Scottish Reserve Regiment, one of the reserve regiments raised during the 2nd Boer War.

The London Scottish wore a very similar badge in facing pairs on their collars.

They certainly did, but I suspect my example is too large for a collar badge.
