A Scottish trick or Treat

Hi. I have these two badges, Scots greys seems styled on the officers badge i have seen with a plate on the rear,it has the long loops you might associate with officers badges. And the RSDG i have seen posted by Rob thoughts were could it be band related and a duffer. Any thoughts please.
I like them whatever the outcome so wont be binned.
