Default 43rd Wessex Div Battle Patch

I picked this up from ebay-not cheap but my Dad fought with 43rd Div so could not resist it. I think its 214th Bde either DCLI or possibly Worcesters but missing green bar.

regards

Mark

Outbid me. Possibly DCLI, Worcesters had a green bar and Somerset LI initially wore the XIII but I think this was dropped.

A super buy, sadly, this sort of thing has become pricey these days, but, money well spent, all the more so, with a family connection, if you have paid a high price, I don't blame you at all.
Bet Jerry Bond has got some of these!

Sadly lots of iffy put together's of this type of item these days, though this one looks to probably be OK. Mind you with the caliber of those known to have bid on it, I assume it was a good one.

I agree Jerry but the overall wear and small moth hole gave me a good feeling. Vindicated by Lee being the underbidder.

You must have edited this as I was composing my post Frank. I don't have any, partly because these are so easy to fake, even if the parts are all original, they fetch a premium above the sum of the parts and also because the ones that interest me tend to have sold before I see them.

Indeed Mark, with you and lee bidding on it, it does not get much better than that for collector approval.
