Bob,
I have one of these on a slidered silverplated Northumberland Huss Yeo (KC), rear of badge stamped "P". (I am not able to post until the Weekend).. I wondered what it was for and thought it could have been a retaining clip for inside a beret, but the holes were a mystery! NOW ANSWERED! Many thanks Andy |

Clip . .!
This is the same device I mentioned in another thread that I had on a hat.

Many thanks!
I will offer up the N Fus to the clip when I get back home at the weekend... I can see now why the slider is clipped! Andy p.s. your link seemed to go to a blank message page? |

I have an officer's cap like the one pictured. It came complete with a Royal Canadian Regiment officers' cap badge in the clip.

Hi gents,
excuse my ignorance but is the small black hook below the badge retainer part of the hat's construction, or could it be for retaining another item possibly a hackle or some kind backing material? Ry |

Perhaps it could have fixed the rear of the chinstrap? Regards, Paul.

I've seen a similar piece on a Pembs Yeo Officer's cap with the earlier pattern silver battle honour scroll.
This one also had the collapsible/stand up crown option fitted with the spring inside. I was of the opinion it was an aftermarket alteration. Do we now think that these were sold like this? |
