Default Mystery Soldier

Hello,

I picked up this photograph from a local antique dealer. Any help in identifying his regiment etc would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

Adrian

Welcome to the Forum Adrian. Your account is active and open for posts.
The badge in the image looks like the Labour Corps.

Hello Adrian

It appears to be an early variant of the Royal Pioneer Corps

I would say that it is the standard Royal Pioneer Corps cap badge, its just been badly coloured over which has altered its shape.

An RPC badge, although this is the smaller beret badge, the design is the same.

As if a the cap has been "photoshopped" on to the head in some old manner. Proportionately an impossibility I would say.
And it is indeed the Pioneer Corps badge.
