Borden Motor Machine Gun Battery button
Morning gents
Thought I'd share this button I picked up yesterday because it looked interesting, although I’ll probably put it in the classifieds at some point. It is from the Borden Motor Machine Gun Battery who, I gather, existed from 1915 to 1920. Mfd. by J.R. Gaunt & Son Ltd, London, England in gm and measuring 25mm dia. Graham

Hi Graham, It is a scarce button, very hard to find. Borden's MMGB became "C" Battery of the 1 Canadian MMG Brigade in 1916. There was pressure to wear the MGC cross Vickers gun badge, but some appear to have continued to wear the Borden badge.
