Default Green Howards Error Badge

Is the Green Howards error badge (Kings Crown) only a WW2 cap badge? It wasn't made after the war as well?

Also is this an original example?

Yes it's original. I don't have dates of manufacture but they were made in large numbers.

The 1944 plastic version which replaced it had the correct coronet.

Excuse my ignorance, but is the badge in question an error because of the crown?
I do have one exactly the same as the badge shown.
What should the badge be like?

This is the correct version with the Princesses' coronet.
