Default British Legion (Women's Section)

Afternoon all.

Just thought that would show a few badges as maybe of interest to some one/collectors.

Images front and back to show makers marks and no's

Thumbs up

Nice badges !

I like the large Gaunt Women's Section one , a nice mid 1920's example . I was lucky to pick up one with a three digit number (407) which is probably from 1922.

The other Gaunt Women's Section is a post 1946 (when badge size/design changed) , a rough guesstimate would be late 1950's/early 1960's.

The Honorary one is a post 1946 version , I have some early three digit (840's) large Gaunt ones which were never taken out of their boxes.

The collar is difficult to date , I have some Birmingham Medal ones from 1930's with smooth back and different attachment for enamel part and also some post 1946 Gaunt ones with a small 'tablet' with number/C prefix.

Thanks for posting the photos.

I too enjoyed seeing them, having recently gotten in to collecting the women's section. Thanks for sharing.
