Default I know what it looks like, but what is it?

It looks like a standard QC RA Beret badge but..... it is not AA and I don't think it is Brass also I have never seen a slider this shape!

On the reverse it is marked EVCO and X-1-2633-78

Is it a proper badge or a duffer, any help appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

That style of slider is found on modern Canadian badges.

Thanks again Luke, another case of the power of the forum, I was thinking this was a 'Duffer'.
