The Danbury Mint - Anodised badges with blades and clutch pin fittings
Questions about anodised badges with "blades" and clutch pin fittings come up from time to time on the Forum. I have just put up an album with infomation about the products of the Danbury Mint - Historic Badge Collection to assist with identification.

Hi Guys,
By the way, there was also a third frame of these badges titled 'The New Regiments 1992-1994 and this consisted of a further 12 badges. If anyone has any costing on these badges can they let me know. Regards Chris |

There was a chap selling two frames of these in Abergavenny market just before Xmas last year. He wanted £20 a frame but I walked away as I didn't know what I was looking at, just shiny restrikes to my mind. Bummer!

I have recently acquired a complete "original" set of the Danbury Mint Historic Badge Collection. Although most of the badges are anodised aluminium with two blades, the following are fitted with clutch pins:
13/18 Hussars, Royal Signals, Brigade of Gurkhas, Royal Army Education Corps. Oddly the REME badge has one blade and one clutch pin! The RHG/D, Grenadier Guards and RAChD are made of metal. I will add more detail to my album in the next few days. Tim

The non A/A RAChDDanbury Mint badge that you have confirms the same info from another member. This is good news for A/A collectors ensuring that Danbury Mint Chaplains items are not passed off as the real thing with their twin blade set-up. Regards Chris |
