Default Badge challenge

Hi To all,
As we know naval badges were given stores codes and these codes can be used to group the badges.
I would like to see a series of badges in one photo using the the stores codes as reference. These codes can be found in AFO 654/44 https://www.navy.gov.au/media-room/p...et-orders/1944
What this will show is the size of the design and materials of the same design which were worn in different positions.
I hope this makes sense.

Many thanks for posting the useful link - an area I have not explored before. I wonder if there is similar online access to RN Fleet Orders? Rather than Australian Navy.
All the best
Mike

The information on the site are the Royal Navy Admiralty Fleet Orders.
Large numbers of the orders are online and complete but if anyone can fill in the gaps 1938-1941 I am sure they would welcome the material. https://www.navy.gov.au/media-room/p...y-fleet-orders
If you want the Commonwealth (Australia) Naval Orders they are here https://www.navy.gov.au/media-room/p...h-naval-orders
The Australian Sea Power centre should be thanked for uploading all this information for all and for free.

Mike,

There are some under ‘Royal Navy Documents’ on the RM Historical site:
https://rmhistorical.com/royalnavy

Many thanks for the clarification Barry

Agreed Tim - the rmhistorical is an excellent site. Royal Marines Historical Society is well worth joining, particularly given the quality of their FREE (to members) Special Publications.
