Unknown gold anodised thistle
Gents, I'm fairly sure I put this up for comments a year or two ago with no result.
A gold anodised alluminum thistle. Its riveted to an alloy disc with a wire through it, presumably for attaching it to something. Any suggestions? Bess |

Possibly the Highland Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland?
I have this example in gold anodised. Tim

Hi Tim, I believe your badge is the same thistle device as seen on the old Scots guards anodised shoulder titles - albeit with different lugs.
Mine is larger than that 'thistle' and is a different design. The attachment on the rear is really peculiar. I did wonder if it was Canadian? |
