Default Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corps shoulder title

I can find no images of this Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corps shoulder title on the internet so I have no idea if it is original. Is there any evidence that this shoulder title was ever worn?

Unfortunately the lugs have been flattened. This badge may be offered for sale if I decide to part with it.

Many thanks. It certainly has some age but I had not seen similar attachments fixing the two sections of a light infantry type shoulder title before, hence the question.

Default BVRC Shoulder Titles

My understanding is that the title illustrated is that adopted by the Bermuda Rifles and was worn between 1946 and their amalgamation into the Bermuda Regiment (now the Royal Bermuda Regiment) in 1965. The Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corps wore simply the letters BVRC in blackened brass between 1895 and 1946. Kind regards. Martin. Warwick, Bermuda.
