Hi Ivan,
The L/pool Scottish 'Camerons' badge was worn c.1936 until the mid 90's
I do know that as a Cadet you had to buy your 'metal' badge certainly in the late 70's and eatly 80's and that the Anodised version was not issued.
I do have a theory that the Gaunt marked badges were purchased by the unit for this purpose as this would fit in with the dot date of the much maligned maker mark.
