wings
Jon,
I am afraid your wing is no good. Del's moths are OK. Some older and some younger models. The botton version of the moth was made as recently as 1965 in Singapore ///Johan |

How do you know that johns wing is no good? I'm no expert so can offer no opinion of my own, but on a forum that many people use to correctly identify original insignia a quote of "its no good" is not really helpful without an explanation! "Its no good just coz I say so" isn't really a statement of authority that is helpful to the rest of us! There are many people on here who are very knowladgable and a few "self appionted" experts who are not so reliable, but surely if you are going to post a statement in a public domain it should carry some qualifying facts with it?

Wings
Friends,
That wing is no good because it is a known reproduction pattern. I should have added that. Compared to the originals, it is not difficult to spot and I suspect it lights up as a Christmas tree under UV light. Take a careful look at the back and remember that kind of smooth and stiff material is a telltale indicator of being 'no good'. best regards, Johan |

Was there any difference between the ones made in the early 50's to the ones made in the late 50's and early 1960's?
