Regimental colours?
Can anyone help with a general list of regimental colours? This is in relation to those infantry regiments that had a battalion converted to tanks during WWII plus the RTR TA battalions pre-war.
It's always useful to know what these colours were when coming across flashes etc worn by these units, colours such as red and yellow for the Suffolks. I've tried a search here on the forum but no luck. If it would make it easier for me to provide a list of the regiments in question, let me know. A list online or in a reference book that gave some historical background would be ideal, many thanks. John

Gallagher's did a 1939 cigarette card series of 48 on British Army Badges, showing badges and ribbons in regimental colours.
I have the set somewhere.........
