Hi sire, if your budget will stretch to it, go for the kipling and king books volume
one and two, which will cover most cap badges and in the long run may save you money

I started with John Gaylor and it was fine when I moved from picking up the odd badge to thinking of a collection. Its certainly cheaper.

K&K is the one everyone quotes all the time. People talk of K&K 920 when they mean Welsh Guards for example.

To be honest this site is better than either of them.

Default Badge collecting Books

I have both the Kipling and King books, and Gaylor`s book these are good books especially K & K. None of these books have any info about the Makers of the Badge`s, unfortunately.
