D.... K... Brass Band, just a guess, the white metal wreath is similar to other badges which are often linked to sweetheart items.

Good suggestion, thanks. I wondered if it might be German, K for Kraftfahrer (Driver). Cheers, John |

Building on what John suggested, could it be Deutsche Bahn Bahn Kraftfahrer (German Train Train-Driver)??!! Or Deutsche Bundesamt fuer Bevoelkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe (German Civil Defence)??!!

Amazing what you come up with when you Google it
BDBK Bund Deutscher Berufs Kraftfahrer (German: Federation of German Professional Drivers) also came up with this! DBBK Dead Birds and Blind Kids (band)

Possibly 'Diamond Brass Band - Kimberley', UK or SA.
The design is in keeping with many brass and silver band badges. There was also a 'Kimberley and District Brass Band' in Nottinghamshire, that too is always a possibility. George |

Hi John
I have the same badge in my collection. It got it some years ago from a collector in Cape Town. I believe the badge to be "De Beers Battery Kimberley", which was on the backing card when I received the badge. I have attached a pic fyi. Rgds Shahl |

Thank you for your information, and for the picture showing your badges, very nice. There was a De Beers Maxim Battery active in the siege of Kimberley during the Boer War. Regards, John |

John ... thank you for the insight.
Very nice badge you have as the one you have is the only other that I have seen before and I have been collecting for 40 years. |
