An excellent image of a well signed and laden Jeep - 9 DLI, 131 Inf Bde, 7 Armd Div. Note the modifications - windshield and the doors - the door looks as though it started life on a Kubelwagen. Mike

Wow, never noticed the door!
My Father once told me, somewhere near / in Belgium, they stopped for the night, dug slit trenches away from the vehicles, two officers came roaring into the camp in a Jeep, front of Jeep went straight into slit trench, two officers went 'a over t' over the wind shield!

Unlikely - at that period (late 1944) the infantry in 7 Armd Div were 1/5 Queen's, 9 DLI and 2 Devons. The nearest KSLI were in 11 Armd Div and 3 Inf Div. Mike

Very kind of them to give that bear a lift like that, although he does look at bit worried. I wonder if he survived the war?

I think he must have gone "over the hill" from the 49th Division.

Either that or it is Wojtek.
