Home Guard Group plus..
An intriguing photo that I'd like to know more about. Taken by a London photographer the group includes four HG officers - one with RAF wings - an MC winning officer from the General List, an officer from the Devonshire Regiment, a Grenadier Guardsman, a soldier of the Border Regiment, a Mechanised Transport Corps driver, two members of the WVS, the hatted one apparently having a Surrey county bar below her arm badge, and three Home Guards wearing the cap badge of the Queens Royal West Surreys. All the HG officers have war service chevrons suggesting a date of 1944
With a clear Surrey connection could this be connected with the Home Guard School set up at Denbies near Dorking? Comments and suggestions welcome. Jon |

The Grenadier could be HG couldn't he?
Wasn't there a HG unit who wore the cap badge? Although he is wearing chevrons with grenade and a 37 pattern belt....... |
