Default Legion of Frontiersmen....fake or Genuine

Hi
Recieved this today ,not to keen on it ,,very soapy feel to it ,... it looked better in the pics !!
Any opinions appreciated before I send it back .

Hi Steve
I think your feelings are justified, a copy for sure , I’d send it back if it was brought as an original!! I’ve a genuine one in my collection unfortunately can’t show it at the moment as we are moving so most of my collection is packed .

It's not even military as the design was wrongly attributed post war.

I agree with Alan. Not military. An error which first seems to have appeared in EJ Martin’s article from the 1950s and been replicated ever since in the literature from KK to Gaylor.

The badge in the OP is very modern.
