Worcestershire Volunteer Battalion cap badge honours
http://www.worcestershireregiment.com/em_cap_badges.php
I came across this site. It is interesting to see that whilst the 1 VB had the SA honours from the Boer war (in line with other VB Bns from 1905-08) it is missing the 'FIRM' tablet. However the second bn badge does have the 'FIRM' tablet. Logically both should have had the same practice? Another incoherence between VB bn badges. On an earlier thread there was mention of one VB Bn having the Egypt honour but the others did not. Presmably as both Bns served in the Boer war there must be a 2nd VB badge with the SA scroll from 1905. Last edited by Alan O; 13-04-15 at 01:06 PM. |
