Default Unknown red feather hackle

Hi

I have this (probably British) red feather hackle


Size

all together: 16 cm - 6.3'
feather: 12cm - 4.75'

Which unit?
Which headdress?

3rd Battn Royal Regiement of Scotland, worn in the Tam if I’m not mistaken?

Why not but this hackle seems too long to be for a TOS

Furthermor, hackles worn by the Royal Regt of Scotland seem less high than this one

Too big for Black Watch TOS hackle and too small for the BW Feather Bonnet examples.
It may be Coldstream Guards for the Bearskin but I’m not sure if the loop fitting was used for them or a blade and socket.
