Default 2577563 Signalman Arthur Preston Royal Corps of Signals 49th Divisional Signals T.A.

My father in law visited up today and left for me to look at some items belonging to a relative Signalman Arthur Preston ( 2577563 ) a T.A. member of the Royal Signals.

There is Arthurs AB 64, his Soldiers Release Book and some paperwork and his medals which comprise the 1939/45 star, Defence and War Medal and Territorial Efficiency Medal and a limited edition hardback book "The 48th and 61st Divisional Signals T.A. 1939-1945 " ( his book being copy 105 )

Arthur enlisted into the T.A. in Birmingham on 13th March 1939. It appears that he was captured after Dunkirk and spent the rest of the war as a POW being Prisoner of War No.11727 at Stalag XXA (45).

Some pictures of some of the documents are attached, not a badge is sight but I think worth some further research to see what else I can find out about Arthur.

P.B.
