Default Paris shootings

What a tragedy.

So much for freedom of speech.

Truly disheartening. My heartfelt sympathy to the families, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives in this cowardly act of terrorism. A speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
The extremist threats to our democracy requires our constant vigilance. Our resolve is only stiffened by these acts.

I better understand now why the Spanish threw the Moors out in 1492. There is a mosque 60 odd miles west of me established by resettled Somalis, the same people who take jahdi excursions. I hope something similar won't happen here, but I won't be surprised if it does. Sorry to say this phenomenon of religious sanctioned murder is world wide.

I was just having exactly the same thoughts myself Griff, you are certainly not wrong either for having them.

Unfortunately all Muslims will be vilified for this act in the same way all Catholics were vilified during Operation Banner but it's only the few who get them all a bad name. We still have people complaining about government surveillance but , for myself, I'm quite prepared to forgo a bit of privacy if if helps reduce incidents like this.

So saddened to hear this today. I also cannot express myself as freely as I would like about this.

I think you may want to revise "All" at the start of your post to "Some", as just like in the days of the troubles in NI, there are those who will be doing back flips and very pleased over this!

It is a terrible tragedy. Acts like this justify the death penalty. I hope they catch the bastards quickly. Andrew

In the name of all my colleagues, I want to give a thought to the two policemen killed in cold blood and their families today. Our thoughts also turn to the other 10 victims, 11 wounded.
Rest in peace.

I wonder if the head honcho at Cologne Cathedral will be dimming the building's lights in protest at the murders . . .

I hate to say this but attacks like this are going to become more common across europe in the future and how can we stop them the truth is we can't.
