Question Unknown title

Another recent acquisition, a chromed shoulder title 40mm wide on a green background.

Any ideas?

Rob

I don't recognize the letters as a Cdn unit, and I can't find any matching abbreviation in the Archives Canada list [WWI vintage]. Also, I would have expected it to be in brass, not white metal if Cdn, but I may well be wrong, as I really only know the WWI stuff at all well. Interesting puzzle.

??? 'Royal Engineers l..." is the only thing which comes to mind and probably unlikely. An odd one indeed. Is it even military?

As someone suggested a possible Canadian link, it wouldn't have anything to do with the wartime Canadian company Research Enterprises Limited would it? For a civilian security guard perhaps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resear...prises_Limited

That strikes me as the best guess so far! Seriously, though, not a bad guess at all. Well done, sir.
