2ND (SOUTH CANTERBURY) REGIMENT lugs vs slider
Hi
I've come across this badge in both lugged and slidered version, both pertaining to be WW1 era. Was the slidered worn by OR's? Cheers Colin

Hi Colin
I have never seen a 2nd Canterbury with a slider. I will be interested to hear others' comments on this? Cheers John |

Hi Colin,
As John has said, 2nd Canterbury Regiment badge has lugs, I've not seen one with a slider. However, 1st Canterbury Regiment badge is found with lugs or with a slider. Both type badges were worn by O/Rs and officers. Cheers, Tinto |

Hi Colin
Like Tinto, I have also come across 1st Canterbury badges, especially the economy brass type, with a slider. The other NZ badge I have commonly seen with a slider is the brass 10th Otago Rgt. Cheers John |
