Default Mechanised Transport Corps

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me please what an "associate member" of this corps was?
I just got a lovely MTCAM badge, but I don't actually understand what an associate member was??
Any steers would be gratefully received!

A person who is a member of a club, organization etc., but has only partial rights and privileges or subordinate status.

Got it, thanks Marc - not sure how that would work in a Corps like the MTC though. Were there formal ranks in the MTC do you know?

Hi,
MTC Ranks were:

Driver
Cadet Officer
Section Cadet Officer
Company Cadet Officer

These were equal to the ATS ranks Private through to Sergeant.

Officers:

Ensign
Lieutenant
Captain
Commander
Commandant
Senior Commandant
Staff Commandant
Corps Commandant

These were equal to ATS ranks of 2nd Subaltern through to Chief Controller.

Tim's link will tell you who they were. The MTC had 3 different badges, so two others besides that one. If you can get Jon Mill's excellent booklet about the MTC I think you will find it a wealth of information.
