RCEME KC with Screw Threads
Gents. Just acquired this RCEME King's crown badge in silver and gilt in UK (Officers badge? Would be in UK). Two maker marks, 'W.SCULLY' up the horse/mustang back and very faint on the lightning '. . . .LY LTD and underneath . . . . REAL' so I assume SCULLY LTD MONTREAL. Fixings are two screw posts E-W. Is this a recognised fixing for a cap badge, officer or otherwise or is it for some other purpose, belt buckle/pouch/presentation piece etc. Any help/comment appreciated.

Giving this a bump. Also, I've noticed the badge in question is slightly larger, 32 x 48mm compared to my other KC officers badge which is 30 x 47mm. It also has a wider scroll and larger horse and globe (See pic, but slightly distorted as the lugs on the 'normal' badge are longer than the screw threads making it look larger than it is in comparison). This makes me think it is something other than a cap badge. Any thoughts appreciated.

Screw posts were certainly a feature of officer's badges. The screw posts appear to be too long for a belt buckle. And the size difference isn't significant.
