Default Military Cross Info Help

I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to assist with a search for info/records relating to the award of the Military Cross, to a former member of the French Flying Corps, by the name of F. C. La Ferrière, who served as a French liaison officer with the Royal Flying Corps, during WW1?

Cannot seem to get anywhere with this... probably looking in all the wrong places. Any help very much appreciated.

Regards,

JT

I found this reference to a published memoir.....not much but might give you a starting point for further research. The reference says Maurice Daring whereas it should say Maurice Baring. I did a quick search for the book on Abebooks and found a copy....but it cost £25.........I do not know how much detail it would provide but you might be able to get a copy of the pages somehow??
Cheers
James

Realised that using the link I could scroll through the book. However, all it says is that he has just heard that La Fereiere has been awarded the military cross but gives no further details....since there appears to be no earlier references in the index, I assume it does not say why. Such is life.
The Military Cross citation records in the National Archives does not show his name but then again he was a liaison officer from the French forces and so may be listed elsewhere.

Thumbs up

Many thanks, James. I appreciate you taking the time to look and to reply.

I have read Maurice Baring's book, and note his mention of La Ferrière, therein.

Thanks once again.

JT
