Did you tell him where to go!??
I am 70, and some young farts got all the best stuff before me.
Regards Phil.

Default Passing on the collection

There should be a big box outside the Soylent Green factory for old farts to deposit their collections before they go in for processing.

Spoilt and self centred. Gimme gimme gimme; I want it all and I want it now! The Snowflake Generation, eh? More selfish, greedy, self entitled and aware of their privileges and rights than any generation in history.

Funny thing but when I was a young collector I couldn't talk to enough 'old farts' to pick their brains about the subject. Keith

Cool The future

At least some of the youngsters show interest, their avarice I hope is matched by their ability to buy good militaria.

Well, I've just turned 45 and I reckon I've still got a good few years of collecting in me
Always happy to help young collectors but they need to realise it's a...collection!! It does take years to build it up, if you could just go and buy a collection off the shelf, what's the point...?

I'm 45. I thought I'd give it a year or two then pack it in, as I'll be waaay over the hill by then.

I am 95 in Oct. and still as keen as ever I was a member (officially) of The Army of the Rhine 1925-6. with the KSLI and wonder if I am the last surviving member. I still have my Sisters I.D. document as issued at the time. Finally dont even think of giving up for a few Years yet.You have got quite a few happy collecting days to enjoy.
Best Wishes, George Davies

My reply would have been "listen son, I may look old but let me assure you that I have just got out of the bath....I've shrunk and that's why I look wrinkly!"
