Default Norfolk Yeo 'B&P'- maybe

Opinions please on this badge.

It has been 'cut and shut'.
The EviiR cypher shows signs of having two lugs removed.
A KC with attached slider has then been fitted.
The slider has the maker's mark BP&Co Ltd B'HAM.
This mark matches a GvR Norfolk Yeo badge shown in the Maker's mark section under Bodill Parker.

The Cypher looks like it could be a gilt officers badge..... its had loops or blades at one time? Drop it in some some white vinegar for an hour and see if there is any gilt left on it after all the heat that been put through it? The crown and slider belong to another badge.

One thing I like about it...... its been well done..... with no effort to hide previous fittings etc

Default Norfolk yeomanry

Griff,

Thanks. I don't know why but the addition of a KC to the EviiR cypher seems quite common.

Perhaps others might be able to add more to this thread.

Stephen.
