Default Royal Warwickshire - Coloured Field Service Cap

Thought I would post this.
The boss is unusual, I'd never seen one before.

Hi Phil,
thanks for posting the FSC. You have answered a long standing query i have with regards the boss. I picked the boss up many moons ago and have always hoped with it being a white rose there would be a Yorkshire connection. Your image clearly identifies the boss as being Royal Warwick.
Cheers, Dave

Default Coloured FSC

Hi Phil
Many thanks for the superb photos of your officers FSC of the Warwickshire Regt.
Strange to say that this pattern is not listed in either the 1891, 1894, or the 1900 "Dress Regs" which simply repeat the description of the (by then defunct) glengarry cap !??
However, it is described in DG Glover's excellent book published by the MHS in 2002 and still available I think. (see attachment). I must say yours looks a particularly fine specimen. Congratulations. Jeff

Isn't the cord boss an officers badge, which makes this cap double badged?

Made me think of something I saw a few weeks ago. An Officers fsc to the 3rd Gurkhas. Another that's double badged. A cord boss to the front and a crowned A to the side .
