Default Kings Liverpool

Good morning all,
I have an all brass Kings Liverpool regiment cap badge with slider as opposed to the smarter white metal horse version. Is this representative of a territorial battalion or an economy WW1 version or a dud ?.
Any help will be much appreciated.Just joined this forum so first thread.
Cheers.
