British Cloth Parachute Wings, Post War?
Hi all. I have recently acquired this fairly grubby pair of wings. I have no previous experience with these items but believe that the fact that the stitching is diagonal as opposed to horizontal indicates post war manufacture, although they do appear to have some age to them. Can anyone tell me anymore about them or when they would date from? Cheers.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I believe these are a nice original WW2 set of parachute wings. Don't worry so much about the horizontal or vertical stitching but look at the overall manufacture and quality. If you look in my albums you'll see a number of wings with different stitching etc. Good Collecting Paul |

Thanks for that Paul, that is good news. From looking through your impressive album I can see that it appears that although most appear to have horizontal stitching, this is not a hard and fast rule. Cheers. James
