Scots Greys
Hi, I recently got this badge, any Idea what time frame and was it usual to polish down the lower wing or just one persons individualism? Thanks in advance and a happy New Year to you all, best wishes Mike

I would say one person's individualism as I haven't seen one like that before.

Are the wings polished?
To me it looks as if the left hand wing has been overlaid/filled with something and left to harden, but not so apparent on the other. Regards. Brian |

Hi Brian, well spotted, it does appear to have a silver/ silver solder overlay which has been polished. I'll keep it in the collection as an oddity-vive la difference, thanks to all and best wishes Mike
