It's at the right price for a reason. Avoid at all costs.

Unbelievable - 100 hrs to run and it's reached £103. Swat Valley Militaria must be booming.

These are what I call the 2nd generation Pakistani fakes , came out a gud few years back , the 1st generation fooled a lot of collectors but as people got wise they learned often the hard way , the ` untidy` back became a give away ........... then the fakers came up with the idea we will hide the backing by covering it in paper ......and whats more we will use old paper to really fool people once the badge has been soaked the paper dries out and goes brittle and starts to disintegrate and really look the part ( theres an AIRBORNE strip done exactly the same ).

oh ...... the paper they used is the bluey / black packing of the wartime ARP muslin badges ....... clever earh ?

HOW EVER .......please bare in mind the seller may well think these badges are genuine ?

Which particular badges are you referring to and why do you think they are wrong ?

Hi Airtrooper,
I'm no expert, and will bow down to Johan weigman, Ham & Jam or Luc on these ( to name a few), but my understanding on WW2 SAS wings, that they would not have uplifted wings, but be straight and horizontal on the top. Can't comment on the Cap badge,as many different varieties over the war years, but nothing like mine, or many of the examples accepted as WW2 issue.

Be interested on thoughts on these.

I returned a "Late WWII/1950s" SAS beret badge to this seller when I received a different item to the one in the listing. (The left hand images are the badge listed and the right hand images the badge shipped) The badge I returned also had a very high degree of fluorescence to Excalibur under UV.

Regards,

Graham

I have mentioned this before, I have experience of the textile trade and embroidery machines, when you set up a machine to make 'a' badge you don't just make one.......so just how many of these dodgy items are on the market?
