Possibly connected to Op Granby , 1 Armoured Field Ambulance was part of 7 Armoured Brigade ?

Thanks for the replies Mike. It is a strange felt construction. With the pinked edges the closest I have resembling it is a badge from Oman. Possibly indicates a Middle East connection?

During Op Granby there were medical units in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia (33 General Hospital at Al Jubail ) , a lot of medical/nursing staff had 'unit' patches made locally.

I saw a few unusual ones when I worked at a Saudi Military hospital in Riyadh.
