The final two
Hello all,
I've finally caught up with a backlog of about 18 months of cataloguing my badges & I'm left with these 2 that I can't be certain of. I would expect the Queen Victoria's to be blackened metal but the long lugs make me think that it might be an officer's badge. Were their badges in white metal? Having said that, I think that I can see traces of blackening so could it be that the wearer has polished virtually all of the blackening off? As for the other badge, I've looked at as many grenades as I can see in both Gaylor & K&K but can't see one with a "3" on it. Any help is, as always, much appreciated. Cheers Steve

The QVR is fake. The 3rd City of London RV is genuine.

Thanks for the info. It's been a while since I got a dud so I suppose I was overdue one!

Sorry I missed a part of your question, genuine QVR badges can be found in BB, BWM and WM. A few examples below from my collection. BWM and WM versions are very scarce.
I think you’ll find officers would largely be wearing boss badges. Your badge originally had a slider, evident from the scar behind the crown, someone has then added silver loops to it. |

Thanks for the extra information.
