Nice find Mike, as a scout leader I would have had both of those in my collection.

I suspect the name tape is probably an unofficial one that the group has had made to show they are affiliated to the local branch. It's a nice idea and something I wish I'd thought of when my group became affiliated.

They are not just affiliated with the RBL , they are based at the Royal British Legion on Beardall Street, Hucknall .

Spot the errors !

From an eBay listing :

British Legion members badge, an old pre Royal version numbered and maker marked.

Made by the Birmingham Medal Co. this is the version of the badge worn from 1921 until 1925, when it became the Royal British Legion.

This is from a military badge seller who has been on eBay for 20 years !
